Major business districts

Hong Kong Island

Central
The traditional Core Business District which attracts the banking and financial sectors, major accountancy and legal firms as well as regional headquarters of multinational corporations.

Queensway / Admiralty
An area which has seen dramatic growth of supply over the past decade and which is now largely perceived as an extension to Central. The district has a similar tenant profile to that of Central, with a greater emphasis on business services and general commercial companies.

Wanchai / Causeway Bay
Bisected into two distinct sub-areas by the main arterial route of Gloucester Road. To the north of it lies Wanchai Waterfront which provides a base for those companies who wish to be close to Central but are seeking to restrict rental costs. The tenant profile is varied with a cross section of financial and business services, advertising agencies, manufacturing and transport companies.
To the south of Gloucester Road lies the older commercial core of the Wanchai and Causeway Bay districts where a wide range of Grade 'A', 'B' and 'C' buildings are available. These attract a wide spectrum of users from insurance and computer companies to trading and manufacturing concerns.

North Point / Quarry Bay / Island East
As a result of decentralization, these districts have experienced dramatic growth. Companies particularly attracted to these areas are those with large space requirements and restricted rental budgets, such as insurance, computer, advertising and construction/engineering related firms as well as local and international trading houses. Some Banks have their "back office" operations located here.

Kowloon

Tsimshatsui / Tsimshatsui East
The preferred location for manufacturing and trading concerns who require access to the industrial centres of Kowloon and the New Territories.
Whilst the heart of Tsimshatsui is the main tourist location and is well supplied with a wide range of hotel accommodation, there are several prime office buildings to the east and west.

Kowloon East
An emerging decentralized district comprised of Kwun Tong, Kowloon Bay and Hung Hom. The area mainly caters to trading and manufacturing companies as well as back offices of banking operations seeking to restrict occupational costs.

Kowloon West
Traditionally industrial in nature, Kowloon West is a newly evolving decentralized office district comprised of Mongkok, Cheung Sha Wan, Kwai Chung, Kowloon Tong and Tsuen Wan. A considerable amount of prime office space has been erected in the area since the beginning of it's transformation in the 1990's, with trading and manufacturing companies the most common office occupiers.
